1) What type of programming language is
AgapeStore written in?
AgapeStore is written in Perl and due to it's wide
acceptance, can be used on any UNIX or NT
server that has Perl versions 5.0 and above
installed. This is very common for all hosting
services.
2) Can I use AgapeStore on as many web sites as I want?
The AgapeStore program may be installed on one
domain ONLY. You need to purchase additional
copies of AgapeStore for each domain you own.
3) How about internet security issues?
AgapeStore supports both SSL secure server
transactions and PGP encrypted email. This
way your customer orders are always safe and
secure!
4) NEW! AgapeStore now comes with a built in
order encryption system to keep your
customers information safe. This can be used
on servers that don't offer PGP to their users.
5) AgapeStore now has a special plug-in for UPS
that allows you to get real-time shipping prices
from UPS online.
6) What about changing or adding other languages?
AgapeStore has a built-in, easy to customize, language support
file so that you can customize all text entries
that go to the users screen from the program.
And, since the product, cart, and checkout
pages are simple HTML template files, you can
easily change those as well. Whether you're in
the USA, Brazil, France or Germany, AgapeStore
will be talking your language!
7) What types of stores can be built using AgapeStore?
AgapeStore allows you to choose between a
simple HTML page type store, or a powerful
database driven store that builds your pages
"on-the-fly". Both systems are equally easy to
setup and maintain. The database version uses
a simple flat-file text database so there is no
need for special configurations by your ISP.
8) How many items can be in the AgapeStore database?
That depends on the size of the product
descriptions. The only real limitation is the
amount of time it would take to do a search.
Naturally, this would slow down if you had long
product descriptions. To have up to a thousand
products or more with short product
descriptions would not be uncommon.
Some of our stores have 5,000-90,000+ items in
their database and it takes less
than 10 seconds to display the first product
page when AgapeStore performs a search!
9) What if AgapeStore products come in several different sizes and
colors. Can AgapeStore define options for my products?
Yes, for those products that have
options associated with them, it's a snap! With
a few clicks of the mouse, we can apply as few
or as many product options as you like.
10) Can product thumbnail photos link to
larger pictures or to additional product pages?
Yes, setting up links are very easy for us. We can use
thumbnail images with links to larger full sized
photos or links to additional product
specification pages, or both!
Please Note: AgapeStore does not automatically
size these images. We will need to
size these before importing them into Agape Catalog
Builder which will result in additional set-up charges.
11) Can AgapeStore handle multiple shipping options?
Yes, the AgapeStore allows us to enter in multiple
solutions for shipping. Whether it is your own
specific shipping options or using styles similar
to UPS or FedEX. Your shipping options are
very flexible.
12) How about multiple sales tax options?
Yes, we can assign multiple sales tax counties
or zones like those used in Canada and New York
13) Can we do our own product & price updates on our database
even though we don't know or understand HTML programming and FTP
uploading?
Yes, through our NEW browser based Agape Catalog Builder you can
enter your store database through a Netscape or Internet Explorer
browser with a username and password and make individual SKU changes
in copy or pricing or do global changes on the entire database in
case you would like to put your entire store "On-Sale' for a few days.
There is no need for HTML code knowledge or FTP transfer capabilities.
14) What about customizing the look and feel of the shopping cart?
We don't want the shopping cart to look like a canned program, we want
it to look custom.
Our programmers can change every detail of the look and feel of the
AgapeStore shopping cart to give it the look and feel you are trying
to achieve.
15) Can we do automated order processing?
Yes, we have Plug-ins that we have pre-built and tested for automated Credit Card processing.
